Stick to the safe step only, though — taking the machine apart tends to make the fault worse, not better:

Not draining, usually with E2/E3 or F03

Water sitting in the drum after the cycle ends, or the program stalling right before spin.

Causes

the pump filter clogged with lint and coins, by far the most common culprit, a kinked or blocked drain hose, or a drain pump that's simply worn out.

Try safely

unplug the machine, open the small filter door at the bottom front — grab a towel and a shallow dish first, water will come out — clean the filter of lint and coins, and check the hose. A clean filter solves most cases on its own. Code still there? That points to the drain pump, a part we keep in stock ready to fit.

No spin, or a weak one

Laundry comes out fully soaked, or the drum never reaches spin speed.

Causes

an unbalanced or overloaded drum, which makes the washer refuse to spin as a safety measure, a drainage problem blocking spin entirely, the balance sensor, or worn motor brushes on older units.

Try safely

redistribute the load, cut back the weight, and run a spin-only cycle on its own. Also worth confirming drainage actually works — see the fault above. Still weak? Time for a proper motor and sensor check with a meter.

Not filling, or filling slowly: E1 or F01

The program is running but water isn't entering, or it's only trickling in.

Causes

a closed tap or weak pressure, the inlet mesh filter scaled up with sediment, extremely common with Egyptian water, or the intake solenoid valve itself.

Try safely

open the tap fully first. Still slow? Shut off the water, detach the hose, and brush the mesh filter clean. Persisting with decent pressure means the valve, and it's a quick, fairly affordable swap.

Door won't lock or the machine won't start: E4 or F08/F09

You hit start and nothing happens, or the door-lock code sits there on the display. The washer is built to refuse running without a firm electric lock, a clear click you can actually hear.

Try safely

close the door firmly until you hear that click, check nothing's caught in the gasket, and try a different program to rule things out. No click at all no matter what? The door lock needs replacing, and it's one of the most common, cheapest parts on the machine.

Not heating, poor results and F04

The cycle finishes but results are weak and detergent residue is left behind, or the heating code shows on the display. Cause number one in Egypt, by a wide margin: limescale coating the heater, insulating it, then eventually burning it out. Cause two is the NTC temperature sensor, which shows as F05.

Try safely

run an empty 60° cycle with a descaling agent, at least once. Still weak, or the code persists? Time to replace the heater or the sensor with genuine parts, usually done in a single visit.

Violent vibration or loud noise at spin

Banging and hard shuddering, or a distinct metallic grinding sound.

Causes

unlevelled feet, transit bolts that were never removed — yes, even on machines fresh out of the box — a bunched-up load, worn drum bearings, or tired shock absorbers.

Try safely

level all four feet properly, and redistribute the load evenly before running it again. If the metallic grinding keeps up, that's bearings, and putting it off damages the drum shaft and doubles the repair cost.
